Mysterious Deaths

I didn't have much time lately to sit and ponder about life and then put all those thoughts coherently down on paper. There are just some days that time seems to fly by so fast when I'm immersed in my work that I lost all track of time. My God. It's 2011 already.

Time or no time, when I saw this headline, I had to stop and read: Thousands of dead birds and fish in Arkansas leave many scratching heads. All sorts of thoughts ran through my head but I'm a tad tired to lasso them all right now and put them down on this post. For sure it is a scary thought indeed that birds are suddenly dropping out of the sky en masse and fish dying by the thousands for no known reason. But, it's not just any bird: it's one specific kind of bird -- the red-winged blackbird.

Moreover, not all fish are affected this time, just the drum fish.

What's going on here?

UPDATED: January 8, 2011
I just came across another article on The Huffington Post, published two days ago: "Birds Dying in Italy: Thousands of Turtle Doves Fall Dead from the Sky." This is a little eerie. It's happening all over the world, as "Anonymous" indicated in the comments of this post. I really hope we find out what's going on. Birds just don't fall dead from the sky. And it's not just birds -- crabs, fish, turtles... What next? Humans? But humans are already dying en masse due to wars, famine, droughts, floods... and it's happening more every day. What's the message here?

This map show all the strangely high fish and bird deaths over the last few days around the world.
